Last 4th June, Miguel Salgueiro Meira, senior partner and manager of “Antonino Antunes, Maria Augusta Antunes & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, SPRL”, signed in Tokyo a partenership agreement with japanese law firm “Samon Law Office”. It is the first time a partenership agreement has been established between a portuguese and a japanese law firm. To the event, the law firm was represented by its manager partner, Miguel Salgueiro Meira, and by the partner Renata Silva Santos.
THE PORTUGUESE EMBASSY IN TOKYO
On April 14, 2025, partner Dr. Miguel Salgueiro Meira met at the Portuguese Embassy with the new ambassador, Dr. Gilberto Jerónimo, and with the head of AICEP in Tokyo, Dr. Miguel Malheiro Garcia. Impressions were exchanged about the work that has been developed by our office with Japanese clients and with Portuguese clients seeking internationalization for the Japanese market. The current challenges arising from recent changes in US foreign policy were addressed. And the potential of the city of Viana do Castelo with regard to renewable energy and the automotive industry cluster was addressed.
